After getting into roofing as a young adult, he gravitated toward commercial and low-slope systems because the work demanded close attention to seams, drainage, flashing, penetrations, and material compatibility.
Over the next several years, Daniel worked on flat roofs across Springfield and surrounding communities. He saw plenty of buildings where small defects had been ignored until water damage spread, but he also saw roofs replaced simply because no one had taken the time to determine whether a proper restoration could extend their service life.
